Blog Software

Everyone is blogging, to get into blogging you need blog software, with nice blog templates where you can blog post. You can make a music blog, a video blog, gmail blog, adsense blog, you can even make a blog about blogs ... it's really a crazy thing that's growing every single day. And do you know why? Because you can get free Blog hosting services, which makes it easier for everyone to have one and because search engines value blogs contents and therefore are well classified in web searches. Another good reason to have a blog is to monetize it.
Just to give you the basics about setting up your blog, you have 2 ways to do it:
- set up a free account with free online blogging hosts. My present blog is hosted on a free site which is blogger ... but you have other options out their, you just have to look around a little, wordpress also has the same service

- build you own blog using blog software to do it. This means you'll need software which I have already done a post about, you can check it out through this link. Your best bet to start off, and keep costs low is getting the free Wordpress software and install it, however read carefully the necessary hosting services. For example Wordpress will need SQL service installed to actually run, so check if your hosting service complies, before spending money.
Why pick the 2nd option as it comes out in the long run more expensive?
True, but maybe you'll have more liberty in posting. This means you will not be banned for any reason, you may monetize you blog the way you feel fit. When you are using a free software solution their are always strings attached.
I MHO if your a starter, just run it on free blogging hosts, if you feel that you have a future in blogging then spend the money after this learning experience ... surely you'll get your moneys worth and avoid beginners mistakes.
At Blogger we have control panel which we use to manage our blogs, it's really easy to use, very intuitive, you can manage your posts, comments, the settings, the design, monetize your blog and view stats. It's really very simple to start.
Their are several standard templates which you can choose from or just design it to your liking.
The design of the blog is based on standards, which you can manage, you can a lot of personalized things with you blog, if your an advanced user it may be limited, but for beginners they have so much to explore.
Monetizing your blog, it's a standard option on the dashboard, so you can use it to your advantage, be sure to read the rules .... ban is a common thing.
Good luck.
